How We Review

Step 1: Pin the Facts to the Build

Every review starts by fixing the facts of the current build: version, file size, package name, minimum Android, and language status. For a fan game with community builds on several sides, that means separating the creator's release line from ports and translations, and saying which is which. A fact we cannot pin down does not get printed as a number; it is described as approximate or left out.

Step 2: Play on Real Devices

The game is installed and played on real hardware: a Samsung Galaxy A55 on Android 15, a Google Pixel 8 on Android 16, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro on Android 14, an Infinix Note 40 Pro on Android 14, and a Samsung Galaxy A13 on Android 12. We play the tutorial, fill almanac recipes, run Odyssey and the Zen Garden, and note where the oldest handset starts to struggle on high difficulties.

Step 3: Walk the Install Like a New Player

Install, update, and backup guides are performed on a clean phone in the order a first-time player meets them. That includes the sideload permission, the free space the install actually consumes, and the save backup before an update, because fan game builds can be signed differently and the cost of skipping that step is a lost almanac.

Step 4: Write the Verdict Last

Scores and verdicts are written after testing, never before. The verdict for a fan game must hold two ideas at once: how good the game is, and what it honestly is, which here means unofficial, Chinese-first, and sideloaded. If a build misbehaves on the bench, the guide says so, and the recommendation narrows to match.
